Dominance of the New World

101 degrees and climbing. Actually cool this morning thought Queen Villtraken. Of course it will climb above 450 before midday. With all the volcanic activity lately it was getting harder and harder to see that little blue-green world with all it’s water and cool places.
“I would really like to swim in that cool ocean,” she muttered aloud. She’d been waiting, planning, and dreaming of the day that she could. ”Maybe soon.”
“Your Majesty,” interrupted an aid. “The committee is waiting in the library alcove. They are impatient and demand you attend.”
Still gazing at the sky, immobile, she whispered to no one in particular, “I bet it’s very cool there.”
In the alcove were gathered Venus’ dignitaries, scientists, and scholars. All were prepared to argue their side of the plan for or against going to the blue-green world. Both sides were right. Both sides had valid points to stand behind. Neither wanted to hear the reports that the 4th world had the same idea. The “meeting” went on for hours and nothing much was resolved until finally Villtraken stood, her long royal gown rustling as she did issuing an order to all present to silence. She was tired and hot. All her life she wanted to leave this place for the 3rd world. Nothing was going to stop her now.
“ We leave as soon as all the preparations are made. This is no longer an option or a discussion. Leave and prepare. Or be left behind.”
And quietly, too quietly they all left. “ Trako, a moment. Make sure that there is a very strong complement of fighters. We must have the planet at all costs. The 4th worlders will not keep us off.”
It was now 487 degrees. Queen Villtraken couldn’t wait to go swimming.

It was cold again this morning but it would be 20 degrees soon. They would be long on the way to the little ball in the sky by then though. That perfect dot with its perfect climate.
Queen Srygran was deep in her imaginings when the war officer entered.
“My Queen,” she bowed deeply and waited for her permission to stand. She then began her report.
“ The 2nd life orb has sent many transports. All appear to be headed to OUR goal.” She didn’t bother to hide her contempt. Sygran knew how Trido felt about anything not Martian. She couldn’t blame her, after all, they were nearly perfect. Not like the other orb dwellers.
“Board the transports. See that ours is in the advance. We arrive before them or we remove them before our families arrive. And Trido, relax a little. We will be basking in the warmth of the new orb soon. It may take a little more work than we thought but it will come.” She turned away as Trido left to alter the flight plans. Staring out at the only orb she’s ever known. Wondering if she’ll miss it or not. Then her resolve sets in and she becomes determined not to let those aliens from the 2nd orb ruin her precious new home.

As usual it is still way to early to tell. I know several local teams are looking at coming, Members of Krisis and ther RATS are Generals this time around.

For those of you who have not visited our field, you are in for a nice time, for those of you who have been to our field, you won’t recognize it.
The 2 story 4,000 sq. ft. fort is just a drop in the bucket to what has been added. In the last few months we have added, a water treatment plant along the stream bank (Awesome fighting position), Fuel depot with tower and fuel cells, a sniper tower, 2 more large forts, a new control arm (With new location), a communication fort & a very cool fortress that is covered by a very large cargo parachute. This is just what has been added inside the woods.
Around the fort we have added 8 large walls behind the fort and 35 additional bunkers along the wood line, a tall grassland area for those of you who like to crawl up unnoticed. Real rooms have been added inside the fort for strategic fighting positions and great cover once the enemy has penetrated the walls.
